Overview

The RJ4All Level 5 Regulated Diploma in Restorative Justice Practice was developed to address the lack of formal training and qualification for restorative justice practitioners.

This course combines both theory and practice including supervised case work. It also includes the stand-alone 3-day CPD-certified training course by Dr David Moore and Dr Alikki Vernon, President and Vice-President of the Australian Association for Restorative Justice. Titled “Setting Relations Right: transforming conflict in cooperation through group conferencing”,

The course covers theory, principles, and historical background, alongside practical training in facilitation, case management, and community engagement. The course was designed in line with the RJ4All Restorative Justice Practice Framework.

Upon completion, you will earn a Level 5 Diploma regulated in the UK by Ofqual. Progression onto relevant university courses is possible alongside learning credibility and satisfying the requirement for practising restorative justice.

The key objective of the qualification is to enable you to practise restorative justice either in statutory criminal justice (police, prison, probation) and youth justice (e.g. youth offending teams, local authorities, youth offending institutions) or community settings (e.g. mediation centres). Upon graduation we will submit your registration to the International Fellowship of Restorative Justice Practitioners, allowing you to receive case work but also network with colleagues from around the world. This is the only Level 5 regulated Diploma in restorative justice practice in the world, leading to you becoming a qualified restorative justice practitioner and without the need to register with any organisation or pay membership fees. Moreover, the qualification can also allow you to progress onto other university higher courses. Other benefits include: Career Advancement: Allows you to progress within your current profession as well as relevant university courses. Skill Development: Offers practical, hands-on experience in professional restorative justice settings. Personal Growth: Enhances empathy, communication, and conflict resolution abilities, supporting personal development.
